Type locality: Paysandú, Uruguay. Type deposition: National Museum of Natural History, Washington.
Diagnosis
Adult
This species was described from two females; the male is unknown. It differs from T. tapiacola in having longer and paler forewings, with the wing expanse being 32-35 mm in T. porrecta and 27-30 mm in T. tapiacola. The female genitalia of T. porrecta has very fine, dense scobinations of the corpus bursae and a large signum with a keel, in contrast to T. tapiacola.
