Scapteriscus vicinus like all Scapteriscus are exotic to the southeastern U. S.. It is considered to be a pest, as it may do damage to food crops, as well as damaging pastures and turf grasses. It is parasitized by the Sphecidaid wasp Larra bicolor (F.), which has been implemented as a biocontrol agent. |
