Pheidole tetra is a fairly large soil dwelling species. Species in this species group have scapes flattened at the basally in the majors. This species can be distinguished from others in the group in this region by the numerous erect hairs on the gaster, petiole and postpetiole, alitrunk, and head (especially occipitally) of the major. | |
