Ants in Natchez State Park, Adams County, Mississippi [MS State Park Ants]

Natchez State Park is located in southwest Mississippi in Adams County. Habitat in this scenic park is mostly rolling hardwood/pine forests that are centered on the large Natchez Lake.
MacGown and Hill made a brief stop here in 2005 while collecting ants along the Natchez Trace Parkway. Later, from 17-18 June 2015, MacGown returned to the park with three student workers (Austin Hannah, Claire Caprio, and Kaycee Barnes) to further explore the ant fauna of the park. Between these two visits, we collected 51 species of ants, which are listed below.
